The essential component of any aquarium filtration system is the biological media that houses chemoheterotrophic bacteria, which break down organic waste produced by plants and animals. This process is fundamental for completing the biological cycle and keeping fish healthy.

These beneficial bacteria convert ammonia (NH4) and nitrites (NO2), produced by fish waste, decaying leaves, and leftover food, into less harmful compounds. Without this process, these substances can quickly become toxic.

While traditional ceramic rings are commonly used, their structure does not fully maximize bacterial colonization. Sip Glax, made from sintered glass with a highly porous and adsorbent molecular structure, allows up to 20 times more bacterial growth compared to standard ceramic rings.

It is especially suitable for heavily stocked aquariums, marine setups, or systems with smaller filters relative to tank size.

• 350 g for 150 liters
• 700 g for 300 liters
• 1.4 kg for 600 liters

For marine aquariums, double the recommended dosage.

Do not rinse the product during use. Replace 50% of the media every 6 months to maintain optimal performance.
