HAQUOSS M4 - NITRAPUR MARINE 250ml

Haquoss M4 is a 100% natural, highly concentrated, and effective product for reducing nitrates (NO3) in marine water. Nitrites (NO2) and nitrates (NO3) are harmful to the aquatic environment and are produced through biological decomposition of waste from fish, invertebrates, corals, and food residues.

Ammonia, formed at the beginning of the nitrogen cycle, is converted into nitrites by Nitrosomonas bacteria (also present in Haquoss DM2 Alive). Nitrites are then converted into nitrates by Nitrobacter bacteria (also contained in Haquoss DM2 Alive). Unlike earlier stages, nitrates are not further processed and therefore accumulate in the aquarium, requiring removal through water changes, substrate cleaning, and the use of Haquoss M4 – Nitrapur Marine.

The presence of nitrates indicates that the nitrogen cycle is functioning correctly and that the filter is mature. However, excessive nitrate levels promote algae growth and contribute to phosphate accumulation. The recommended nitrate level in marine aquariums is 5 to 10 mg/L (ideally 5 mg/L in reef systems with corals).

To control nitrate levels:

1. Perform water changes of 10 to 15% at least twice a month using Haquoss DM1 Conditioner and Haquoss DM2 Alive

2. Clean the filter once a week

3. Clean the substrate once a month

4. Maintain proper daily feeding amounts

5. Use Haquoss M4 – Nitrapur Marine consistently when nitrate levels begin to rise

DOSAGE: Test nitrate (NO3) levels before use. Shake well.
• From day 1 to day 5: dose 1.5 ml (1 capful = 5 ml) per 15 liters daily
• From day 6 to day 9: dose 2 ml per 15 liters daily, then test nitrate levels again

If NO3 levels have reached the desired range, continue with 1.5 ml per 15 liters from day 10 to day 15 to stabilize the level, then stop dosing. If nitrate levels have only slightly decreased, continue dosing 2 ml per 15 liters daily until the desired level is achieved.

Test nitrate levels weekly and repeat the treatment if necessary.

IMPORTANT: Most nitrate test kits measure up to 100 mg/L. If the reading is at the maximum, the actual value may be significantly higher. In such cases, continue treatment until nitrate levels are reduced to the target range of 5 to 10 mg/L.
