Used in most marine aquariums, coral sand faithfully recreates the seabed. It is undoubtedly the most suitable substrate, both aesthetically and materially, for setting up your reef. Haquoss KORALSAND PRO is not, as often happens, a processed rock product but is extracted directly from the sea or produced by crushing and crumbling dead hard corals. It is composed mostly of highly pure natural calcium and magnesium carbonate.

The optimal grain size is 1 to 1.2 mm, making it ideal for shrimp, crabs, gobies, worms, anemones, and snails. It is free of harmful substances, does not release nitrates or phosphates, and helps stabilize pH and carbonate hardness (KH).

USE: Rinse thoroughly several times under running water, placing the sand in a bucket and moving it by hand to remove any dusty residue. A slight clouding of the water is completely normal and will disappear quickly. Create a layer of sand no deeper than 2 to 3 cm, or, for DSB aquariums, a maximum of 10 to 12 cm.
