The value varies from 0° to 14° and is logarithmic: this means that an aquarium ph of 7° is perfectly neutral, but if it were 6.9° it would be ten times more acidic. If, however, it were 7.1° it would be ten times more basic. Haquoss D10 gradually increases the pH without altering the aquatic environment. Depending on the biotope of your aquarium, the pH is different since not all fish and crustaceans live in the same type of water. With softwater fish (cardinals, angelfish, discus and apistogramma) the pH value should be between 6° and 6.5°; with community fish (neonids, danios, rasboras and corydoras) a level between 6.6° and 6.8° is preferred; in the presence of poecilids (guppy, molly, xipho and platy) the pH must remain between 7.2° and 7.6° while in an aquarium with african cichlids (aulonocara, pseudotropheus, etc.) it must be between 7.8° and 8°. With crustaceans in general the optimal value is between 6.3° and 6.6°. Measure this value daily with the appropriate tests on the market during use of the product.
